About Us

Legal Practice Bulletin began  in early 2009 to be a business resource for legal practices. In December 2009 Legal Practice Bulletin became known as Legal Practice Intelligence to reflect its emphasis on research and analysis, as well as news. Our focus is on what's important to the business of small, forward-looking legal practices located in CBD, suburban and regional areas of Australia. Legal practices include law firms, licensed conveyancing practices, migration agents, in-house legal departments and community legal organisations.

Peter Frankl

Peter is a graduate of the University of New South Wales majoring in accounting, finance and information systems. One of his long time passions has been the study and appreciation of economics and valuation theory. Peter obtained a graduate diploma in applied finance and investment and is presently a Fellow of FINSIA. He also holds a full practising certificate as a CPA designated member of CPA Australia.

Sometimes Peter is asked whether he is a lawyer or ex-lawyer. He is not a lawyer and has never been a lawyer. He started legal studies with a combined undergraduate degree but found his interests were more in the direction of business and economics.

In 1997 he discovered the legal services industry. His roles and activities in the legal services industry have been diverse but the common thread has been a focus on smaller independent practices. His variety of roles have included practice management, accounting services, software training, practice broking and consulting. These services are still actively provided and he has assisted over 500 individual legal practices.
