Although this is a US capital raising, its size, ambitions and focus on in-house legal, means that it has a good chance of having an impact on the Australian legal market.   Litify, a software platform that empowers law firms to better service their clients and grow their business, has announced a Series A investment of $50 million by Tiger Global Management, LLC, a New York investment firm. We first heard publicly from Justin Kan and his Atrium venture in July 2017 when we learned that he raised US$10.5 million to revolutionise legal services. There was little information shared publicly about how this money would be spent and exactly what products or services would be created. In July 2017 we reported on a well-funded (US$10.5m), secretive venture whose aim was to revolutionise legal services and transform the delivery of corporate legal services. The venture was centered in San Francisco however technology revolutions tend to cross national borders very quickly. Those who were expecting ground-breaking technology probably felt an anti-climax when it was recently revealed that a new law firm had been created. The law firm, named Atrium appears to have quickly gained a following amongst the Silicon Valley startup community. Atrium LTS has raised US$10.5 million to revolutionise legal services and transform the delivery of corporate legal services.
