Law Partners Shop at Westfield Parramatta, NSW

Shopfront law offices are not new. They exist in many suburbs and towns across Australia. A typical floor plan is a small reception area, enclosed offices, open workstations and storage cabinets.

The vast majority of the space is used by the staff of the law office to do their work. The shopfront window performs an advertising function.

Because retail rents are generally far more expensive than office rents, law offices have avoided occupying prime retail space.

A NSW personal injuries law firm does not seem to be following this script.

Law Partners Compensation Lawyers has occupied a retail space in Westfield Parramatta. The shopping centre comprises 492 retailers and achieves an estimated 28.6 million customer visits annually. The shop, on level 1, is next door to Medibank Private and opposite
Australia Post. It is adjacent to a busy food court.

Has Law Partners discovered a new economics for law firms’ use of real estate? The answer is probably yes, with these photos providing clues as to how this new economics works.
