New LexisNexis legal analytics module further expands deep analytics capabilities for the data-driven lawyer
LexisNexis has launched NSW Court of Appeal Analyser, an in-depth analytics tool that provides deep insights on NSW Court of Appeal cases.
It is the third legal analytics solution released by LexisNexis Australia to date.
The module surfaces insights across four key areas: People and parties, Outcomes, Words and Phrases and Most Cited – allowing users to quickly build a holistic view of historical data from the NSW Court of Appeal.
Through powerful search and easy-to-view graphic visualisations, users can quickly access the information they need, saving time and effort in what has traditionally been an arduous research process.
Simon Wilkins, General Manager for LexisNexis Australia said, “We know that lawyers who can augment their astute research abilities with the power of technology are the ones developing an edge in an increasingly competitive industry.
“LexisNexis has a rich history of more than 100 years of legal publishing and NSW Court of Appeal Analyser takes combines this experience with deep analytics tech. It is designed to provide insights that will help users develop better strategies and make more informed decisions as to the potential outcomes of their cases.”
The NSW Court of Appeal Analyser is integrated with the legal research platform, Lexis Advance®, and is powered by the company’s industry-acclaimed case set, CaseBase™.
“This module is the second for Lexis Legal Analytics and a great validation for our customer-driven and user-focused strategy,” said Julie Austin, Data Analytics Manager at LexisNexis Australia.
“Through ongoing consultations and data analysis we continue to determine the content sets that are most used and most valued by our customers – and these are the areas that we focus our development on.
“Through this module, High Court Analyser, and our other analytics products we will continue to show our customer base and the industry at large just how powerful this technology is.”
In addition to NSW Court of Appeal Analyser and High Court Analyser, LexisNexis offers Custom Analytics, a tailored analytics report service specifically designed to help customers identify new and crucial insights from legal data to make smarter evidence-based decisions.
