MinterEllison has announced 83 senior appointments, including 14 Partners, 22 Special Counsel and 47 Senior Associates. With a total of 1,311 fee-earners (256 Partners and 1,055 non-Partners) across its Australian network, MinterEllison is Australia’s largest independent firm.

Over half of the total senior appointments were female (49). Ten of the 14 new Partners were also women.

In total, MinterEllison announced 69 new Special Counsel and Senior Associate appointments, compared to 50 appointments at the same time last year.

The majority of new Partner promotions came from the firm’s Disputes Competition & Insurance line of business (6 new Partners) and its Infrastructure, Construction & Property line of business (5 new Partners).

The Partner promotions also included two new Partners from non-legal backgrounds as part of the firm’s continued investment in its consulting offerings – Donna Worthington (Risk and Regulatory) and Kay Salvair Smith (Infrastructure).
