The worldwide trend of legal services being enhanced with technology has reached China.
Here are two separate developments:
• China Daily has reported that the Chinese capital’s first artificial intelligence robot for legal services was put into operation in a Beijing court. The robot provides simple legal advice and guidance for litigants.
• An online court has been established that specialises in internet related disputes, “concerning areas such as online shopping disputes, copyright protection, Internet loans and domain name disputes. Legal officials believe the city of Hangzhou, which is home to tech giants such as Alibaba, is the ideal place to house such an innovation”. See video below.
