Sydney, 20 March 2012 – InfoTrack, a new business division of LEAP Legal Software, has today officially launched. While it is a new business, it comes from the same company that has been providing online searching services for the past 12 years as LEAP Searching.

LEAP Searching as a brand and service will continue as an integrated module of LEAP’s flagship product, LEAP Office. LEAP Searching and InfoTrack share the same platform.

A dedicated team of in-house programmers has been working on the upgraded platform for the past two years. This has been a multi-million dollar investment for the business that clients are now benefiting from.

Managing Director of InfoTrack, Steve Wood, said that “the workflow patterns of legal firms have been at the forefront of all design decisions for the upgraded platform. The result has been to deliver innovative services that our clients and the legal market want.

“For example the InfoTrack vendor service in NSW allows clients to order all the relevant title particulars and certificates required to prepare a contract of sale, in one service, without the need to enter any more than the title reference. This merges two services into one, and is unique in the market place. There is not a quicker way to order the information a firm requires for a contract.”

Steve Wood also explained that “some of the older systems require laborious navigating through drop-down menus”. InfoTrack on the other hand “offers quick links which allow common searches to be performed by clients with a single click.”

InfoTrack clients are not required to use any particular accounting or practice management system, with cost recoveries able to be easily imported into their current systems to reduce the risk of write-offs to the firm.

As well as law firms of all sizes, the company is targeting users in government, banking, debt recovery and accounting. It is a national searching service and offers the recently released Personal Properties Securities Register service.

InfoTrack is also available as a “white-branded” service for resellers such as law stationers and legal agents who provide searching services for their law firm clients.
